With the launch of the DC in Europe later this year, Sega Germany has appointed a new general manager, Thomas Zeitner, and moved their operations from Hamburg to Dusseldorf. They expect further expansions for their branch down the road after the system is launched.

With the DC making its official European debut at the Nuremburg Toy Fair, the new GM had this to say about Sega's future in Europe:

"Sega is going to be a profitable company which lives up to the needs of the new millennium. Unlike Sony, Sega has a long tradition in the games market. Sega takes the co-operation with the trade very seriously and this means not only doing the right things, but also partnerships."
