According to IGN.PSX's Rumor Mill, two of Namco's hottest current arcade titles will be making their way to the Dreamcast first. Soul Caliber, a weapons-based 3D fighter and the sequel to Soul Edge (Blade on the PSX), as well as the light gun shooter Time Crisis 2, will be coming to the DC.

This rumor has a very good chance of becoming fact as the Dreamcast is the only system that could handle an arcade perfect port of these games while they still have a strong arcade presence. They are both on the same board that Tekken 3 was done on, but with so much extra RAM and hardware effects as to make a Playstation port impossible without severe performance loss. And with the PSX 2 rumored to not even make an appearance until late this year, early next year, the DC is an excellent stop-gap. Let's just hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
